(Spring 2008) - Opening of Platinum LEED office complex scheduled for spring 2008
By spring of 2008 Allen will have a new Class A office complex designed for Platinum LEED certification, making it one of only a few office complexes in the U.S. capable of receiving the highest rating available from the U.S. Green Building Council.
Overlooking Watters Creek, the Angel Field Center at Montgomery Farm will be strategically placed to afford a dramatic setting for more than 160,000 rentable square feet of Class A office suites. Stone and glass buildings connected by trellised walkways will surround a landscaped plaza, featuring 25-foot high shade arbors, water features, and expanses of native grasses. Offices are being strategically placed to maximize views. Conveniently located near the intersection of Bethany Drive and Central Expressway, Angel Field Center also is immediately adjacent to best-of-class shopping and dining as well as residential neighborhoods with homes and town homes by North Texas’ premier builders. The Angel Field complex will also feature a wellness center offering indoor and outdoor exercise facilities, a luxury spa, and a restaurant. All while being easily accessible via Montgomery Farm’s extensive trail system. Angel Field Center will be designed for low environmental impact and will incorporate a number of environmentally sensitive practices designed to incorporate recycled or renewable materials and minimize energy usage. Less than two dozen buildings nationwide currently are designed to receive the U.S. Green Building Council’s platinum level of LEED certification, the highest national standard created for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings based on environmental design criteria. “This is more than a place to work,” said Amy Monier, spokesperson for Montgomery Farm. “The Angel Field Center is specifically designed to provide a healthy and sustainable work environment that fulfills the needs of modern professionals. We will have a variety of options for businesses who share our environmental consciousness and vision of sustainability".
